Judy Tran (she/her) is a first-generation Asian American, Buddhist, and Colorado native. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from CU Denver and a Master of Public Health in Population Mental Health and Wellbeing from the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. She has experience working with AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, low-income, underserved, domestic violence, and substance use populations. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University of Denver.
She is passionate about supporting these communities, with a focus on health psychology. Her work addresses a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, eating disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD/ADD, functional neurological disorder, type 2 diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and chronic pain. She is often described as resilient, hard-working, calm, flexible, and kind.
Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, all grounded in a holistic, biopsychosocial framework. She helps clients practice skills during sessions and equips them with coping tools they can use in their daily lives.
Outside of her work in mental and behavioral health, she is a trained dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, and performer in Vietnamese traditional, K-pop, and hip-hop styles..
