Justin Li (he/him) is from the San Francisco Bay Area of California. He is a third-year PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. His therapeutic background is based in client-centered and culturally responsive therapy. For about a year, he worked with undergraduate and graduate students at the DU Health & Counseling Center, primarily addressing concerns such as depression, anxiety, managing ADHD symptoms, and life transitions.
He especially enjoys working with clients who are navigating issues related to identity development, relationships, and sociocultural expectations. He strives to help his clients feel heard and respected throughout their therapeutic journey, while exploring what feels meaningful to them.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing card games, trying new foods with friends, and spending time with his cat. Since moving to Denver, he has discovered a new appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys exploring the city’s vibrant electronic music scene.
