Jamie (she/they) has been described by others as thoughtful, real/authentic, funny, kind, and someone who notices small details. They believe therapy is a collaborative process built on respect for one’s lived experience and nurtured through curiosity and cultural humility. She is honored to share in people’s stories and accompany them as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and celebrations.
Originally from Wisconsin, Jamie completed her bachelor’s degree at Coe College before working in childcare and psychology research in Minneapolis, MN. In 2024, they relocated to attend the University of Denver, where they are currently pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology. Clinically, they have worked in the community and with people who are currently incarcerated, treating both individual and structural symptoms of unwellness.
They value seeing how systems affect any person regardless of identity but are especially passionate about working with members of LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and all marginalized communities.
Jamie has experience integrating CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapies, though her perspective often centers trauma-informed liberation and narrative lenses. Above all, she values the relationship between therapist and client, seeing therapy as adaptable, dynamic, and client-centered. They are open to working with children, adolescents, and couples, though they primarily work individually with adult clients.
As a human outside the therapy room, Jamie loves spending time with her found family, exploring museums and nature, trying out new coffee spots, and momentarily satiating her craving for good films, writing, and video games.
