Amanda (She/Her) is from Memphis, TN and calls the south her home. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Nonprofit Management. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver. She has experience working with people from various backgrounds and cultures, adolescents, low-income communities, those who are legally involved, and substance use populations.
Through various life experiences, Amanda developed a passion for working with marginalized, underserved individuals. She believes that everyone has inherent value and a life worth living. Her approach to therapy is person-centered, seeking to understand those in the room with her, while incorporating intersubjectivity, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
In her spare time day to day, Amanda enjoys being in nature, gardening, and finding beauty in the mundane. She has a deep affinity for travel, food, and exploring different cultures.
