DeAndrea Rene’ McIver Hernandez (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor providing trauma-informed telehealth therapy to adults and adolescents across Texas, Colorado, and Florida. As a military spouse and former military child, Rene’ understands firsthand the realities of frequent moves, big transitions, family stress, and learning how to find your footing in the middle of change. She brings both clinical training and real-life experience into her work, helping clients feel seen, supported, and understood.
Rene’ takes a strengths-based, down-to-earth approach to therapy. She helps clients with untangle anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, and life transitions while keeping things real, compassionate, and judgment-free. She believes healing doesn’t have to be stiff or intimidating, and that growth happens best when clients feel safe enough to laugh, reflect, and gently challenge themselves along the way.
Clients often describe Rene’ as genuine, relatable, and direct (in the best way), with thoughtful “let’s talk about it” moments and humor when appropriate. Her style balances warmth with meaningful challenge, creating space for clients to step outside their comfort zones while still feeling supported and respected.
Professionally, Rene’ is a therapist, advocate, and consultant. Personally, she’s a wife of 28 years, a mom of four great children, with three fur babies who believe in showing up authentically, embracing growth, and modeling healthy boundaries, for herself, her family, and the clients she serves.
